What is the Motability Scheme? The Motability Scheme enables eligible people to lease a brand-new SEAT using their qualifying mobility allowance. Insurance, servicing, maintenance, breakdown cover and tyre replacement are included, making it a simple, worry-free way to enjoy reliable, accessible motoring.

Who is Eligible?

The Motability Scheme is open to those receiving one of the below mobility allowances, provided it has at least 12 months’ award length remaining:

Enhanced rate mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Higher rate mobility part of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
Enhanced rate mobility part of Adult Disability Payment
Higher rate mobility component of Child Disability Payment
War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

Customers in Scotland may be eligible for the Motability Scheme if they receive Adult Disability Payment, Child Disability Payment or Scottish Adult Disability Living Allowance, subject to the Scheme's eligibility criteria and sufficient time remaining on their award.

Can SEAT Motability vehicles be adapted?

Although SEAT vehicles are well-suited to many Motability customers without the need for additional adaptations, a range of specialist alterations can be made at the point of order. These support driveability, access or stowage, and many come free of charge. Our team will be happy to arrange adaptations to meet your needs.

Will I have to make an Advance Payment?

Yes, SEAT models require an Advance Payment to be accessed on the Motability Scheme. The Advance Payment varies depending on the model and specification selected.

Will I get my Advance Payment back at the end?

No, if you complete your three-year lease, you do not get the Advance Payment back. This is because it essentially tops up your mobility allowance to cover the cost of your vehicle lease.

Is charging support included?

Currently there are no fully electric SEAT vehicles available on the Motability Scheme. However, there are plug-in hybrid options and if you choose one of these, the cost of a charge point and standard installation may be covered as part of your package.
