West End Garage is your multi-award winning Škoda and SEAT retailer group covering East and Central Scotland since 1987. We are the Škoda experts for new and Approved Used Cars plus all aftersales requirements including high voltage repairs as we are also a specialist battery centre.

We have grown over the years and have thrived upon success through customer service and retention. So many of our loyal customers have been on the 40-year Škoda journey with us, we are indebted to their loyalty and thank them hugely. Many of our customers are more like family, that says it all. We also retain and look after our team with many having served for 20 to 30 years, our employees and customers simply know when the recipe for success is right.

Our Journey:

In 1987 West End Garage embarked upon a Škoda journey that has seen the brand and business develop and grow ever since. The history of Škoda’s development under the stewardship of the Volkswagen Group is well known, and the story behind West End Garage is equally inspiring. The Škoda brand was added to our existing heavy goods workshop and used car site on West Main Street, Broxburn. New car sales grew year on year and 1998 saw the launch of the first all-new Volkswagen-engineered car the Mk1 Octavia, Fabia was launched a year later in 1999 and the Superb joined us in 2001.

The success of these all-new cars gave us the need and desire to relocate to new premises on East Main Street in Uphall while we retained our Broxburn site as a used car outlet. Our new site featured a five-car showroom and a new workshop to look after the growing base of loyal Škoda customers throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians. From 2002 to 2012 we launched new versions of the hugely popular Fabia, Octavia, and Superb, added to which we introduced the quirky Roomster and massively successful Yeti, our first SUV, and the tiny city car, the Citigo.

2012 presented an exciting opportunity to expand with new sites in Sighthill, Edinburgh, and Halbeath, Dunfermline giving us three locations including Uphall in West Lothian. The sales and aftersales teams went from strength to strength, and our loyal returning customers followed us on our journey. We refurbished our facilities in 2014 and 15 to incorporate the stunning new Škoda corporate identity.

In 2015 we had another exciting addition to the business as we opened a new temporary site in Bannockburn with ambitions to build a new facility in Stirling, we purchased land on Forthside Way and built a brand new bespoke Škoda retailer between 2016 and 2018 that welcomed the team and customers through the doors in June 2018. While opening in Stirling we closed our showroom and workshop in Uphall and relocated as many of the team as possible.

SEAT and Cupra were added to our Stirling site in October 2020 as Authorised Repairer and Approved used destination, this Spanish flair has added great value to the business.

Škoda continued to push forward with new models such as the 7-seat Kodiaq SUV in 2017 and the future technology EV of the Enyaq that came to market in June 2021. The future of personal mobility is electric and Škoda is absolutely at the forefront of this bold technology, we are excited to have so many new cars coming soon, the Karoq-sized Elroq the ranks in 2025, and a smaller Kamiq-sized EV coming along in 2026, then in 2027 we have an incredible looking 7 seat EV to tackle the territory owned by the Kodiaq.
