Cold weather driving (7C or below)

The rubber compound of Winter tyres remains softer when the temperature drops to 7C or below. This provides a more flexible surface and increases the grip to the road surface, resulting in shorter braking distances.

Wet weather driving

With specially designed tread patterns, these tyres are able to displace surface water, which reduces the risk of aquaplaning.​

Driving on snow-covered or icy roads

Fine cuts in the tread, known as sipes, optimise the tread compound flexibility, enhancing the tyres stick to the snow. When temperatures drop to 7C, summer tyres start to stiffen, losing their grip.​
