First-generation cars (2017 to 2024) make up most of the used Kodiaq stock and were facelifted in 2021. The second-generation Kodiaq arrived in 2024 with a larger body, a new interior and a plug-in hybrid iV option.
The 2.0 TDI 150PS is the all-round favourite, especially with 4x4 for towing. Petrol 1.5 TSI cars are quieter and cheaper to buy; the vRS adds performance. DSG automatics are common; manuals exist on earlier front-wheel-drive cars.
