In July 2025, the UK Government announced an Electric Car Grant scheme offering funding for UK buyers of certain battery electric vehicles which meet criteria relating to pricing and environmental impact (among others).
A number of Škoda Elroq and Enyaq cars have met the 'Band 2' criteria, allowing you to enjoy a £1,500‡ saving on a wide range of Škoda’s award-winning cars.
The £1,500 discount will be automatically applied by the Škoda retailer at point of order. So you don’t need to do anything: except jumping into electric at an even more attractive price.UK only. Selected Elroq and Enyaq models. Vehicle eligibility & figure correct as at 02/09/2025. Grant provided by UK Government, may be replaced, withdrawn or amended at any time.
All Škoda electric vehicles come with a high-voltage battery warranty that lasts for 8 years or up to 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, protecting against all material or workmanship defects. This warranty is in addition to your Škoda new car warranty. Škoda vehicles purchased with the UK Government’s Office for Zero Emission Vehicles (OZEV) electric car grant from 2025 onwards have two further benefits:
1. Additional coverage for your high-voltage battery warranty.
If your high-voltage battery drops below 80% capacity within three years or 40,000 miles (whichever comes first), or below 70% during the remaining warranty period, we’ll repair or replace at no additional cost, keeping your vehicle performing at its best.
2. Option to extend your high-voltage battery warranty once cover ends.
For extra peace of mind, you will have the option to purchase a two-year battery warranty extension.
T&Cs apply. Information correct at the time of publication, 02/09/2025.
Driving a low-emission vehicle can dramatically reduce the amount of Vehicle Excise Duty (VED), commonly known as the road tax, you pay.
Zero-emission vehicles will be charged at the lowest rate of £10 for the first year.
If your home has off-street parking, a wall-box can charge your electric vehicle faster than a standard 3-pin domestic plug. The Government offers a grant that supports the cost of the charger. The Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme supports up to 75% of the cost, capped at £350 including VAT, off the installation price. The electric vehicle home charge scheme grant is now only available to rental or leasehold properties.
This grant provides electric vehicle (EV) drivers with support towards the costs of the purchase and installation of EV chargepoints at residential properties if they are also installing a cross-pavement charging solution. An electric vehicle chargepoint grant can help towards the cost of installing an electric vehicle chargepoint socket at your property. You can get 75% off the cost to buy and install a socket, up to a maximum of £350.
If you want to encourage your employees to make the switch to electric, the Government will support £350 of the installation cost for every charge point you install (maximum of 40 charge points)What’s more, electric drivers won’t incur any Benefit in Kind charges for electricity used at work.
The Workplace Charging Scheme (WCS) is a voucher-based scheme that gives businesses financial support towards installing chargers on their premises
Because Benefit-in-kind (BiK) is calculated based on your car's emissions, driving electric can help you save
The Government's tax rules state that where an employer provides charging stations for their employees, no taxable benefit will arise
There are local councils up and down the country that offer incentives for electric vehicle owners. For example many offer reduced - cost Residents' Parking Permits, or even Green Vehicle Permits that allow free parking at shopping centres and train stations, access to bus lanes, and free use of charging stations. Offers vary depending on the council, so contact your local authority to find out more
Retail customers can now benefit from either A 7kW Ohme 5m tethered cable Home Pro home EV charger or a 7kW untethered ePod home EV charger (both with standard installation included) Or a £500 PowerPass charging voucher code

And you'll quickly discover there is nothing to worry about.
If you have an Enyaq, you should have a regular service every 2 years, but this is not dependent on the mileage. The car itself or the MyŠkoda mobile app will tell you how often you need to visit a service centre. You can also find service intervals in your Owner's Manual.
To make sure that your car is well prepared for the upcoming season, whether summer or winter, your authorised Škoda Service provides special offers. These inspections include a check on the status of the tyres, brakes, battery, fluids, headlights and many other areas.
Your authorised Škoda Service will prepare your car for its MOT testing. Where necessary, they will fix any issues found, subject to your agreement, so that you can be absolutely sure that your car is going to pass the tests.
Unlike petrol or diesel engines with their thousands of moving parts, an electric motor does not require so much attention. It means lower maintenance costs in general compared to conventional combustion-engined cars.
